IIum is an ice-covered planet that is known for its crystals which are used in the construction of lightsabers.
During the Clone Wars, Count Dooku dispatched Chameleon Droids to IIum with orders to destroy the crystal caverns, but they were thwarted by Yoda and Padmé.
