The Rebellion is a faction of resistance fighters in the Star Wars universe, Episodes IV-VI and beyond.
History[]
Formed shortly after the takeover by Chancellor Palpatine (to be Emperor), they resisted using what ever they could get their hands on, including the prototype X-WIng fighters. At 0 BBY (before the battle of Yavin) the Death Star, a massive ship as big as a moon with a planet destoying laser, was destroyed by thirty fighters. A chain reaction in the core was caused when Luke Skywalker, a rebel pilot flying as Red FIve, when he fired a proton torpedo into a thermal exhaust shaft. Several years later, a second Death Star is built. THis one is supposedly not operational, but actualy is, part of an elaborate plot to destroy the Rebellion. It was protceted by a force field from the forest moon of ENdor, but a commando team, with the help of the native man-eating teddy bears (Ewoks), take it down, allowing its destruction. THis marks an end to the Imperial's might, and over the years, it degrades into an annoyance.
Characters (good)[]
Luke Skywalker: A teenager living on the desert planet of Tatonine, is caught up in the evnets of the Rebellion, destroying the first death star and many other feats.
Han Solo: Cocky, smug, great pilot, smuggler, and pround owner of the fastet ship in the galaky. At first, he just wanted to get paid and be done with the "crazy rebellion of yours", became a genral.
Princes Leia Organa. Defiant, smart, and tough, she is a main leader of the Rebellion, the reason Solo and Luke got involved in the first place.
Chewbacca. A wookie (walking carpet), he is Solo's copilot and best friend.
C-3P0. A golden protocol droid fluent in more than six million forms of communication, and is always complaining about lasers, and fighting.
R2-D2. astromech droid Spunky, good mechanic and loyal. "The most vulgar character of all time. THey bleeped out every single word he said.
Obi-Wan Kenobi. A jedi, the last one left, he sacrificed himself to allow the others to escape.
Yoda. A little green alien who's nine hundred years old, he is a jedi master, (the only other one left) who trained Luke in the Jedi arts.
Characters (bad)[]
Darth Vader. A sith Lord in black armor, wielding a deadly red lightsaber, and the actual hero of Star Wars. He is also "epic music starts playing when he enters" cool. Oh, by the way, he is Luke's dad.
Grand Moff Tarkin. THe highest ranking officer in the Imperial Navy, he has limited authority over Darth Vader (the second in the empire)
Emperor Palpatine, aka Darth SIdious, a very powerful sith lord, and ruler of the Empire. He was killed by (spoiler alert) Darth Vader.
Storm troopers. The main soldiers of the Empire, clad in white armor and great fighters and excellent shots (except when fighting main characters, they always miss then).
