Hello, all... just a reminder, I believe that the Doctor's TARDIS is still surrounded by a Time Lock... are we still going along with that plot? Because I think it's interesting...

Personally, I thought it would be neat to have a vengeance-fueled Han Solo breach the Time Lock to face the Doctor mano-a-mano for a bit. Breaking the Time Lock barrier would drive Solo mad, no doubt, but also give him a pretty awesome ending as he went down fighting against the Doctor, avenging Chewie. Having been breached, the Time Lock could dissolve; and in a fight in the console room, Han might even be able to (maybe accidentally?) mess with the TARDIS console, debilitating it some, which might be interesting, because on it's own, the TARDIS is pretty powerful... maybe too powerful.

(And remember, the TARDIS' "state of temporal grace" never seems to work very well, anyway...)

Keep up the fun work, folks!

The TARDIS? It's name sounds funny, Hah, HAHAHAHA!!! XD Wait, how it did defeated the Millennium Falcon and the USS Enterprise but the blue box has NO weapons? IT WAS 99 CENTS! Note: I'm not being random. The sentence what I wrote IT WAS 99 CENTS! is not a random sentence. It's from the song called Thrift Shop.

Oh yeah and remember to READ the entore thing. We should try not to change much.

This is what's happening right now:

the doctor's shield is up

the doctor gathered everyone for something about his name, so obviously he is nearing his end and he knows it.

There is a war (wonder where that came from?)

The master is present in jack's spaceship (stolen)

Now we need someone to put this together.

So here's my idea: The doctor, beforethe final war, reveals his name (according to an entry by someone;nice plot, though). then we describe the war and the destuction. Rmember to make it science fiction-ey. loved the idea of the DeMat gun. but we need a reason for the war. anyone?

~pari Tawale~ 8:00 pm, 27th may, India

Well, maybe someone or something declaired war. Also, I thought to add a little bit of British-like humor, using Douglas Adams. I would like to see how other ships can handle the Infinate Improbability Drive, and what type of humor can we fit. It has to be related to Sci-fi. But what?

Any ideas folks?

I say it was the Doctor's intention to bring peace to the multiverse by eliminating races such as the borg, dalek etc in one place and create some sort of new multidimensional order to bring peace to all reality. 21:13, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

Hello! I'm "Jack" just got an account. Anyways, hi everybody.

Major plot points! :D[]

I'd really appreciate if someone could outline the major plot points we should be following…Thanks!

P.S. This is extreeeeeeeeeemly fun.

Good idea! Here it is... I believe I have all the important details. Obviously, everyone, feel free to alter it going forth...

Might we also want to create a list of possible future plot points that we may want to move foward into...?

Awesome job so far, team!

The Story[]

- The Doctor, in his Eigth Incarnation, reluctantly resolves to call all the great ships to him, the good and the bad, for some as-of-yet undisclosed purpose.

- The Doctor knows that whatever he plans to do will go against his very name, but decides he must do so in the name of peace and sanity.

- The Doctor traps all the ships in a time-web.

- Then appears the Heart of Gold, powered by the Infinite Improbability Drive. It is revealed to be on the Doctor's side.

- The Borg deactivate the time-web. In a panic, the Doctor creates a Time Lock around the TARDIS to protect himself.

- The Borg open fire on the Millennium Falcon. The Falcon and the Infinity then engage in a firefight with the Borg cube.

- The Borg cube destroys the Falcon, killing Chewbacca.

- Han is revealed to have been inside the Borg cube, fighting alongside Spartan John-117 and three ODST troops.

- Solo is sent to the Infinity for help, while John-117 causes the Borg cube to explode from the inside.

- Han, now in the Infinity, is filled with personal vengeance against the Doctor for the death of Chewbacca, and all the rest of the chaos.

- The Doctor contemplates using his de-materialization gun - a one-shot device that will erase its target from existence. He decides against it, saying it is not in the name of the Doctor...

- However, the Master, in his last incarnation, has his own more powerful de-mat gun, capable of 12,000 rounds a second. He is on his way to the battle in Jack Harkness' stolen ship... with the recently decapitated young Face of Boe in the ship, as well.

- The Master senses that the end is coming soon for them all, including he and the Doctor. He wonders why the Doctor has brought all of the ships together here, and believes that, before the Doctor dies, the Doctor will have to say something about his name...

- The Master enters the battle and sees the carnage. He vows that he will kill the Doctor for sure this time.

- The Doctor deactivates the Time Lock around his TARDIS and engages in the ongoing starship battle, deciding that he will give them a fair fight, in the name of the Doctor.

- The Infinite Improbability Drive suddenly brings Chewbacca back to life inside the Heart of Gold (unbeknownst to Han), as it also causes the TARDISes of the Doctor and the Master to collide.

- The collision sends the Master to the past, and causes the Doctor to regenerate into his Fifth Incarnation. In a post-regeneration fit, the Doctor falls out of the TARDIS.

- The battle continues, as Luke Skywalker, Hierarch Artanis, and the New Republic Fleet are faced against the Hive Fleet Leviathan.

- Paradoxes cause the first 9 versions of the Doctor and his TARDIS to appear; each Doctor up until the end of this battle... meaning that before the end, the Eighth Doctor (currently the form of the Fifth Doctor) will die.

- The Master and his TARDIS appear in the Doctor's TARDIS.

- Roland of the Infinity realizes that all of the ships are from different universes, brought together here, which is an alternate dimension.

- The Death Star pulls in the Doctor via tractor beam.

- In the Death Star, the Master appears in the Doctor's TARDIS before Darth Vader in his throne room.

- The Tenth Doctor also runs into the throne room, and explains to Vader that he is here to stop his previous incarnation from killing them all, which is not an action in the name of the Doctor. Vader agrees to help him.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Now I will be able to write much more fluidly/better. I really appreciate it.

Potential Story Ideas[]

Had an idea. The Ultramarines fleet pop out of the warp, late to the summons, and basically decide to attack the UNSC ships head-on, but soon halt after recieving a mesage from "John-117, Adeptus Astartes prototype, dates 500s M2." Slug gunner fan (talk) 19:10, May 24, 2013 (UTC)

I think that there should be something, like The Red Dwarf here. Since I haven't seen the series yet, how about you guys (if you want) add them to the battle. This should be fun.Timetravelinc (talk) 6:20 PM May 24th, 2013 (EST)

End of the Story?[]

An anonymous contributor just posted a really confusing addition.  I don't know what was even going on, or what the name abbreviations like LCU even meant.  Anyways, at the end, he said a bunch of ships jumped to hyperspace.  Did someone just try to end this story?

A humor idea/running gag idea[]

Han Solo, Darth Varda, Dr Who, Rose Tyler and Jean Luc Picard all have tooth ache. They finde out by eating an large ice creame. It some how is comected and is ultimalt to reveal how the doctor and Captin Picard will srevive the war. (Captin Picard should not not die in the war). 22:41, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

Further Ideas[]

It's a real pain that the great starship battle is being concluded, because there were a whole load of ideas that I wanted to use beforehand:

  • The First Doctor's TARDIS materialising on the Voyager to take out the leader.
  • The horrific discovery that the crew of the battle stars (Including Lee and Starback) had been revived and assimilated.
  • The revelation that not only had Marty and Doc Brown survive the explosion of the Death Star, but had been turned into a Dalek and the new Cyber controller (I'll let you guess who was turned into which).
  • The first Doctor facing Davros, who had merged with the borg queen beforehand.
  • The Doctor attempting to disrupt the collective by corrupting the borg queen protocols in Davros.
  • The twist that Davros was not actually the queen but had become a drone with more sentience (Like Locutus)
  • The hissing of a lightsaber with a red laser blade being aimed at the Doctor's throat, along with the revelation that a still living Darth Vader (Who had altered the de-mat gun beforehand into a trans-mat gun with a component he took from the Annedroid so that it would transport him somewhere else on the TARDIS, and it just so happened that it transported him on the First Doctor's Tardis), who was and always had been the dark lord of the Borg, new cyber controller, and supreme commander of the 'alliance of sci-fi supervillains', having had the borg queen protocols transferred into him by the 'mysterious benefactor'.
  • Vader attempting to assimilate the Doctor, as well as the TARDIS (Thereby leading to a chain reaction in which all the Doctors and TARDISES started to become assimilated), only to discover that the Doctor had suspected beforehand that Vader's turncoat was suspicious, and had downloaded the tardis with a virus that corrupted the borg queen protocols and disrupted his control of both the borg and the cybermen.
  • The Doctor grabbing hold of something before making the doors of the TARDIS open, sucking Vader out into space.
  • The alliance disrupted, giving the other Doctors, Federation and republic a chance, leading to most of the destruction of the 'alliance of sci-fi supervillains', with the survivors fleeing the scene.
  • The revelation that the 'mysterious benefactor' was actually Frieza, who had discovered the pocket universe long before the eighth Doctor, and had gather knowledge and resources from numerous universes, before revealing himself, either throwing an energy bomb with with force lightning at everyone else or the Doctors tracking his ship down leading to a final confrontation.
  • Oh, and he would have had Dark troopers working for him (remember them?  Dark troopers?).

Are there any ideas or plot developments that anyone else planned to use? 09:54, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

I just hope that who ever the author is, they use my additions of Makuta Teridax, Krekka, and Nidhiki (from the LEGO Bionicle Universe) effectively and accurately (and realize I set them up to be "business partners" with the Mysterious Benefactor, but that any evil guy can be planning a double cross...). —BioniclesaurKing4t2 - "Hello, I'm the Doctor. Really, I STILL can't believe you brought James Bond into this!
Seriously, though, Janeway is pretty cool. Make it so she's still trying to get home, add a line like "Are we anywhere nearer to the Alpha Quadrant?" That would be the first thing Janeway would say. And I want to add a line for The Doctor about why all this started in the first place and how it is supposed to end. I have some theories about it. In the meantime, keep up the good work.

Character/Starship List[]

To everyone writing this collaborative writing project, we have all, I'm sure identified a problem with the project.  Too much is being introduced, too many new ships characters, and not enough is being destroyed.  The final objective is for the TARDIS(ES) to be the last ships left standing.  Most of us, including myself, are prey to doing this, because it's just to damn fun to introduce new characters.

For that reason, I ask everyone to keep in mind that final goal as you introduce that new character or ship.  We can make it there, I have no doubt about that!

I have also decided to create a list of characters and ships that currently are or ever have been in play in this story.  Please, add to it, and update it as time goes on, so that we can better take stock of what we have, and better be able to get to the end of the story.

Continuity []

One post I have read may have through the story off in continuity, though some have been changed, please everyone read others people post before posting, and make sure if you are continuing where one left off that it follows along.LordTJ 14:25, May 27, 2013 (UTC)

Whoever wrote the last anonmyous post didn't read what previous wrote and through off the story.

If you're referring to me, it just so happened I did.  Regardless of what someone has updated the battle on this page, Vader and Slave I survived the nuclear onslaught because they were 'Just out of range'.  And I hardly think that Vader surviving has thrown off the story as you put it.  Also please sign your entries here. 19:25, May 27, 2013 (UTC)

Someone just said that the Enterprise survivors were taken aboard the Voyager, as reported by a crewmember of a Battlestar, but the Voyager and all three Battlestars had already been taken over by the Replicators in the imediately previous entry and all crewmembers sucked out the airlocks (and the new person didn't sign their post). —BioniclesaurKing4t2 - "Hello, I'm the Doctor. Basically, . . . run." 19:57, May 27, 2013 (UTC)

Ah yes, I made the crew of the USS Voyager survive and not be sucked out.  Personally, I am really rather annoyed with whoever decided they could just "destroy" the New Republic, and the Daleks, and Reapers, with 50 nuclear devices.  First off, that is just plain implausible, all of those devices would not be near enough for the destruction of those ships.

Second off, someone is playing god when they do that, in my opinion.  To decide the fate of an entire ship and so many other notable characters by yourself and without a consensus from other members is just plain innapropriate, I think, and I just think, when trying to make a move like that, you make it an open ended thing, like "all the airlocks opened and prepared to suck the crew out into space" and then leave off there.  That way, it gives others the possibility to determine their fates, and makes the entire thing more of a collaborative project. Master Tej (talk) 19:29, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

Ending stuff and discussion[]

I'm going to presume that by the end everyone must be killed by the John Hurt Doctor, (except the other Doctor's) right? Our are they going to survive? Personally I'd prefer if they all died…

Personally, I'd prefer it if they all lived, but I'm guessing that's not going to be the end case.  Now, the rules don't necessarily say they all have to die, but it appears that is what will happen.  Whether or not that is accomplished by the John Hurt Doctor, remains to be seen.  Also, please don't forget to add your signature. Master Tej (talk) 19:24, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

I very suddenly can't access the page.  It just doesn't show up under the Collaborative Writing Project.  When I go to edit the thing, nothing appears for editing, just a blank page ready for typing.  Is anybody else having this issue? Master Tej (talk) 23:26, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

A username "Mhadick" removed about 35,000 characters of story text from various parts of the middle of the story over the course of the past hour and five edits. Are they allowed to do that? —BioniclesaurKing4t2 - "Hello, I'm the Doctor. Basically, . . . run." 20:08, May 29, 2013 (UTC)

Apparently, Mhadick started the page so maybe that gives him free reign. I've sent him a message asking for a reason for these edits. Slughorn42 (talk) 20:25, May 29, 2013 (UTC)

He's the one who started it, and I got a message on my page saying they were removing unncessary parts from the story.  Perhaps that's it? Master Tej (talk) 02:14, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

Hey guys -- I'm actually a staff member overseeing this contest. I'm sorry if I removed some of your text, but I'm trying to keep contributions in line with the rules stipulated at the top of the article page, and that often means removing text that doesn't advance the narrative. 1. It seems that Mhadick is back to his old tricks, removing whole sections of the story without explanation.

2. Apparently, someone has inserted their own character into the story. I googled Liam Kendall and he appears to come from a self-published novel. I thought we were only supposed to use pre-existing characters from recognizable properties, not our own creations. Am I wrong? Slughorn42 (talk) 19:01, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

On another note, an IP seems to have made quite a few...less than desirable edits to several different contributors' chapters int the early part of the story. —BioniclesaurKing4t2 - "Hello, I'm the Doctor. Basically, . . . run." 19:46, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

Don't worry. I've removed those mannuallly. But really, shouldn't we do something about this Liam Kendall character? Practically anyone could deliver that message. Slughorn42 (talk) 20:04, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

wouldnt say it really matters if hes there considering its barely a minor role in the overall story 01:48, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

Well anyway, it's a moot point now that the page has been locked. Slughorn42 (talk) 02:03, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

Wait a minute!  It's being concluded already?  I thought we'd have at least another couple of weeks! 09:06, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

I understand the complaint about Mhadick, but he is the admin in charge of the project.  Personally, I am a little annoyed with it, but that is within his responsibilities.

That should be more strongly considered, though, the fact that Liam Kendall is a self published character.  I mean, we might consider removal if he doesn't affect the story too much.

Also, I think we should consider a complete proofread of the paper and a compilation of edits to give to Mhadick.  I noticed just yesterday a minor edit were somebody had changed a section that said "ships that had saved countless lives" to "ships that had saved countless Daleks."  I'm wondering if there are others in the story, and I think we should find as many grammatical and literary errors as we can and give them to Mhadick.

And I know, I too am disappointed it's been closed from editing!  I realized it was winding down, but I still had lots of edits I wanted make, and I had friends that wanted to edit, but didn't get to it yet.  Anyways, this has been lots of fun so far, and I'm really looking forwards to seeing the conclusion. Master Tej (talk) 14:48, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

The page is no longer protected so I took the liberty of replacing Liam Kendall with someone else. Slughorn42 (talk) 18:29, June 7, 2013 (UTC)

Can USERS Please Stop IGNORING previous poster entries

The latest entry ignores a previous post where Darth Vader was converted into Cyber-Vader. Can we please stop doing this?!

First off, sign your posts under a wiki account, please.

Second off, are you referring to a post I made?  Because somebody very rudely and unncessarily posted next to my signature on my last post "(THIS POST COMPLETELY IGNORES AN EARLIER POST)," and I have yet to find the supposed "inconsistency" which someone claims I caused. Master Tej (talk) 20:58, June 1, 2013 (UTC)

The post where Darth Vader is in the Tardis with Eight and Doctor fifteen, he then tries to kill you and you completely ignore that by them acting like nothing happened. It was fixed the post after but can you please makesure they line up HUGHCRI (talk) 16:43, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

He was merely standing in the same room as them, threatening them.  My post was nothing more than a quick flash of thoughts in the Doctor's mind, and in no way whatsoever refuted previous posts.  The Doctor in that particular post performed no action, and only thought something, and so my post could be construed as happening in a mere few seconds.  It, in no way, violated canon. Master Tej (talk) 17:31, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, your post did not ignore any previous posts, right?  Then can you please explain how the section where the Unknown Doctor (I refuse to acknowledge him as anything like John the Doctor or the Hurt Doctor) laments how he had failed to get the republic to help him fight the Borg collective is 'canon' when a previous post had the republic along with the federation and the Doctors fighting together against not only the Borg but an alliance of all the major starfarring villains that they were a part of? 15:21, June 5, 2013 (UTC)

Unauthorised edits[]

Okay, once again I've noticed that someone has been editing someone else's entry, changing 'the unknown Doctor' to 'John the Doctor'.  Personally, I think calling him the unknown Doctor sounds better than calling him after the actor who plays him.  By that logic, why not call the tenth Doctor the David Tennant Doctor or the eleventh Matt the Doctor? 11:27, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

Wedge's non-cannon story line (between episode Unfortunate Solutions and The Final Battle).[]

Wedge Antilles enters the story line as he flys from the surface of the distant forest moon of Cleavack wondering what the hell was going on. The com's traffic was heavy and it seamed like a war had broken out.

Spock stayed behind, with Yoda and Jarjar Binks in Spock's Jellyfish ship. Wedge finds the empty and moderately damaged Battelstar Battlestar Athena, boards it and finds it empty and abandoned except for a few  DEAD replicators and a few DEAD crewmen.

A lightly damaged Slave 1 was abandoned and floating about by it. In the far distance he can see a damaged Battlestar Atlantia adrift and abandoned like the Athena.

A few small peaces of debris from the USS Enterprise's inner hull also drift past. He stabilizes the Athena's position in geo-sycrinose orbit with the planet, with Slave 1 left in suite, and returns to Spock, Yoda and Jarjar Binks. Skagra's Invisible Spaceship was parked next to Spock's Jellyfish

What happens next is up to others to write.

What hapens next is up to others. Whipsnade (talk) 22:24, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

Are you suggesting an addition to the story? Master Tej (talk) 22:38, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

Yes, they have not been used and could be added. Spock, Wedge, Wedge's X-wing, both Battelstars and Slave 1 are all listed as intact and out of combat/unknown location.Whipsnade (talk) 22:42, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

Well, while it is a fun addition, and those characters/ships are listed with an ambiguous status, I don't believe it will be added. Editing has been closed, and the conclusion by a TARDIS datacore representative is being awaited. I don't believe the plot will be advanced further. Master Tej (talk) 22:59, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

Mhadick's Edits[]

Before this story was closed, you posted a comment on my page asking me to limit the length of my edits.  That's a valid thing, I was making rule-breaking edits with how long they were.  You also mentioned that you were removing sections of the story that were non-essential to the plot line.  I assumed this meant little things: grammatical errors, repeated words, that sort of thing.  When others complained about it above, I defended you to a degree, saying that if you were the creator, then you have fair precedence over the page.

I now believe I was wrong.

While you may have precedence over the page, I politely ask that you immediately revert all edits that remove sections of the story you have deemed "non-essential."  Grammatical things, sure, fine, whatever, but you have edited over half of my contributions by removing entire sections without a real reason why.  And I can explain to you even why these edits are, indeed, essential.

The second contribution I made was edited.  In the original, Bond tries to shoot a Stormtrooper in his neckseal, but fails, and has to fight the man.  In the revised version, Bond simply shoots him in his neckseal and gets on with it.  This is an invalid edit because it violates Star Wars canon.  Stormtrooper neckseal, bodysuits, and armor are all impervious to projectile weapons.  A Walther PPK would not pierce the neckseal, and so your edit violates Star Wars canon.

The next contribution I made was edited to remove a ridiculous amount.  In the original, the Voyager arrives to the battle carrying M, Tanner, and Q.  They look at the battle, and Tuvok points out several ships.  M explains that Bond is on the Bane.  Tuvok exclaims that the Death Star beam is headed for the Bane.  Q and Kim explain the need for direct comms in order to get a transporter lock on Bond.  Bond contacts them, they get a lock, and beam him aboard before the destruction of the Bane.  In the revised edition, Tuvok's explanation of the battle is cut out, as is the entire explanation of the need for direct comms in order to beam him.  This was all cut out for reasons I cannot discern, but it is necessary as it explains how they got a lock on him, and it demonstrates the final moments of the Bane.

My next contribution was, you guessed it, edited.  This one is the worst.  I specifically tailored that piece of the story to sound as if it was from the viewpoint of Chewbacca.  I can't even figure out what exactly you removed because it is so changed.  The most I can figure is that you removed an entire section where Chewbacca realizes he is about to accidentally kill Han, and so swerves his X-Wing to avoid doing so.  This vastly decreases the literary value of the contribution, in my opinion, and makes it sound a lot less like it is from the viewpoint of Chewbacca.

As it is, I am not sure if you have edited my other sections to remove parts you feel obsolete.  I would like to reassert, though, that you are editing the story without the consent of the contributors, and are removing things which you may not realize the full value of.

Furthermore, these are only my complaints.  I am certain that there are others who feel the same way as me.  I am deeply offended that I have contributed to this project by taking time out of my life to write to it, only to have my contributions edited and made lesser by somebody I do not know, and who does not have my consent.

I ask that you realize these complaints, and please revert all edits that you have made that are to remove sections which you have deemed unfit, or unnecessary, or not as contributions.  This is not fair to those who have edited and felt proud of it.  We have taken time out of our schedules to contribute to something we love and enjoy.  Please don't edit how we manifest that love on your own whims.

The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny[]

This is kind of off the subject but does The Great Starship Battle remind anyone else of this video:

(Different user) I was thinking this, but was envisioning more like "The Ultimate Death Battle of Ultimate Destiny". —BioniclesaurKing4t2 - "Hello, I'm the Doctor. Basically, . . . run." 22:30, June 7, 2013 (UTC)

The End[]

That was SO AWESOME!!! Wow, and now it's over! That's sad.

I have returned. I am a king. Therefore, I am THE RETURN OF THE KING!! Speak to me, peasants! 16:31, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

Anyone else feel that this ending ignored the fate of a whole load of characters, not to mention disregarded what was established was that the eighth doctor and the unknown doctor (known to others as the John Hurt Doctor or John the doctor) were separate incarnations rather than the lattter being the aged form of the former?  Personally I think this is better, but we can't go about ignoring already established details (even though that is exactly what a couple of people have done in this story) 10:13, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

I felt it ignored a whole lot too. It said something about the Doctor's various incarnations "being lost in fire and paradox". Well, what does that mean? And what happened to all the other surviving characters? The fact that it introduced the Valeyard this late in the game tells me that it was probably written right at the very beginning with only minor adjustments made along the way. Slughorn42 (talk) 13:39, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

Well, "ignoring previously established events" is exactly what is expected to happen when time and space have been messed with to the extent that this story has. But still, I think that most details were ignored, though the "being lost in fire and paradox" makes me think that there was an unknown amount of undescribed time and battling between the previous entry and the end of the story, so everything happened somewhere in there. I think you can use your imagination to make up your own series of intermediate events.

As for the end, what exactly did happen? Did the TARDIS just push the Borg Cube unprotected into the raw Time Vortex where it was disintigrated like the CyberKing? That's sure what it sounds like. —BioniclesaurKing4t2 - "Hello, I'm the Doctor. Basically, . . . run." 18:35, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

"Ignoring previously established events is exactly what is expected to happen when time and space have been messed with to the extent that this story has?" Huh.  That sounds like a rather convenient way to basically ignore previous details and write your own story rather than acknowledging previous people's contributions or building on them.  And yes I guess you could use your imagination to decide what happened to the other characters (like, say, everyone getting infect with a cloud of nanites after attempting to destroy the collective), but still I think it would have been better if the conclusion didn't pretend that they didn't exist at this point. 17:08, June 14, 2013 (UTC)

I agree with you guys, although it was an exciting and well written ending, I felt that it disregarded much, particularly the fates of the characters from the Star Wars universe (what happened to the New Republic fleet?!!).  I would've liked an ending that factored more into the events already set in motion by the 8th and John Hurt Doctors, perhaps even having a final clash between them.  Nothing dictated that the Borg had to be the last thing left standing against the TARDIS in this competition. Master Tej (talk) 02:36, June 16, 2013 (UTC)

Um, yes, something did.  Do you not remember the TARDIS and Borg Cube being the last two competitors in the Great Starship Battle poll, the very reason this collaborative writing project existed, to fill in the story up to that point?  The ending of TARDIS vs. Borg Cube was established from the start, everyone just brought in everyone and everything else to make the story interesting.  Could we maybe start a Great Starship Battle Collaborative Writing Project v1.5 that fills in the gap between where "our" story is left off and where the Final Chapter starts? —BioniclesaurKing4t2 - "Hello, I'm the Doctor. Basically, . . . run." 16:04, June 28, 2013 (UTC)
I wouldn't be opposed to that but I'm not sure how exactly we'd do it. Slughorn42 (talk) 16:37, June 28, 2013 (UTC)
I as well would like the idea of a path story to the conclusion.  And no, on the subject of the Borg Cube, the rules simply state what is below.
"The Doctor vanquished the Borg Cube, the Millennium Falcon, Serenity, Klingon Bird of Prey, the USS Enterprise, the Euphoria, and many others. But how? And why?"
Although this project was created after the four round competition concluded, yes, nowhere did it state that the Borg Cube had to be the last object left standing against the TARDIS, just that the Doctor was the victor.  Now, if we do this "bridge the gap" story of ours, I want to make sure that we tie up the loose ends of the Voyager, the Juno and New Republic Fleet, James Bond, Han Solo and Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, the pain and decision of the 8th Doctor and the plan of the John Hurt Doctor (I know there have been complaints raised about that name, I just don't know what to call him without it being confusing).  Perhaps the 8th Doctor could kill himself, creating a paradox which destroyed all the other Doctors except for the John Hurt Doctor, and that one would be the one to conclude the story as written by the representative from the TARDIS datacore.  What to do about all the other loose ends, I don't know, but that's my idea.  Oh, and this one wouldn't be edited by Mhadick!  Master Tej (talk) 16:50, June 28, 2013 (UTC)
And let's not forget our "Mysterious Benefactor". He needs to be behind some sort of overarching plot or scheme, and somehow it (either intentionally or not) has a hand in leaving only the TARDIS and a single Borg Cube. And about the ending not having been established, how come the title card shows only the TARDIS and Borg Cube? If not set in stone, the visual reminder would certainly have influenced the contributors. —BioniclesaurKing4t2 - "Hello, I'm the Doctor. Basically, . . . run." 17:43, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
I agree about the mysterious benefactor, he should have some overreach.  Was it ever determined who that person was?  And look, I'm just speaking about the rules here.  Although that picture did indeed show the TARDIS and a borg cube, it in no way determines the rules, and it is a fact that the rules said nothing about the borg cube being the last thing left standing against the TARDIS.  My point was simply that it wasn't "untouchable" or something. Master Tej (talk) 19:32, July 2, 2013 (UTC)
I say we write this fic, anybody going to start?
Part of the issue, I think, as said above somewhere, is that no one knows what to do to set it up, or if they do, they haven't yet. (I don't, btw.) —BioniclesaurKing4t2 - "Hello, I'm the Doctor. Basically, . . . run." 22:38, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
Maybe after The Doctor destroys the Borg Cube he had a flashback. There could be a prolouge describing who died, how and what set up had happened up to that pont?
Or we could make a new one entirely?
