The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-B) was an Excelsior-class Starfleet starship launched in 2293 under the command of Captain John Harriman.
History[]
The Enterprise was built at the Antares Ship Yards, though the decision to model it after the failed USS Excelsior was controversial. Despite the controversy Starfleet used the Excelsior-class design because they could withstand the test of time. They would still be active in the 24th century.
